SJ. RAMIR

Nationality: new zealander

Born in 1971, New Zealand video artist SJ.Ramir resides in Melbourne, Australia. Much of his work utilises the movement of people through remote geographical landscapes as a metaphor to examine the metaphysical journey's that are made through landscapes of the mind. Video pixels are enhanced in his work through the use of custom-made lens filters, to eliminate superfluous detail and create new textures.
His work has screened at galleries and film festivals, worldwide. He is represented by Orexart Gallery, Auckland, New Zealand.
