Paolo Gioli was born at Sarzano di Rovigo on October 12, 1942. In 1969, back from New York, he moves to Rome and he starts working with cinema first and then with photography, using pinhole cameras. In 1977, he starts using Polaroid materials and invents techniques for transferring to different media, especially drawing paper and silk.
He lives and works today at Lendinara; he is occupied in researches on films, photofinish, Polaroid and Cibachrome media.
