Cedric Gaul-Berrard was born in 1972 in Paris, where he lived until 1999, writing for a few years before moving to New York. He discovered there a film practice close to his own. The films he makes (using a Bolex) are edited within the camera, making a particular use of film temporality. Speed, superimposition and the use of matte are his primarily means of composition.
