Throughout a 50-year career Charles Hayward has performed his music both solo and with groups across Europe, U.S.A. and Japan and made more than 50 recordings utilising idiosyncratic attitudes and insights in a wide range of sound work spanning improvisation, song, sound as sound, using order and chaos as creative energies. He curates Music Is Social Space for Albany Theatre, London and recent releases include the piano centred song cycle ‘Begin Anywhere’ and the intertwining collage ‘Crossfield Estate’.
