A licensed architect, Bruce McClure resides in Brooklyn, NY. Since the 1990s, he presents performances all over the world, most often in spaces associated with experimental cinema or underground music. The 16mm images he projects are abstract (usually, black and white flickers), and he uses guitar effects pedals to transform the soundtracks of the film loops running through the projectors. These performances provoke intense physical experiences that push the spectators to the limits of what they can endure in a cinematographic projection with looped sound.
