In iridescent fits and starts, a source of light becomes incandescent, changing colors one by one. A whirling blur, and then a click, before forming into an intense blast of wild collapsing patterns, and then contracting again to distant shadows at the heart of the nebula. A spinning algorithmic dance ; a shapeless scratch ; a bruised, chipped abrasion of space ; a universe scrawled over on all its dimensions in a network of engraved lines.
This film comprises a series of works documenting The Superusers' performative audio-visual interactions intended to be viewed in 3D space. Each film portrays the creation, propagation, and destruction of a separate digital cosmos where faceless objects dance and sing in a highly-disturbed sense of synaesthesia. All materials were recorded in real-time.
