KATOPTRON is a kind of audiovisual pudding which contains among others ingredients Abel Gance's « La Folie du docteur Tube ». The optical distortion, which is at the core of Gance's movie, proliferates in KATOPTRON. Mainstream cinema (Kubrick) as well as experimental movies (Malcolm Le Grice) and video art (Gary Hill) get pulled through that wormhole. However, saturation does not prevent some paradoxical order in this chaos.
