Together with the great cargo ships, the hues of the horizon – driven by the wind – come to take the whiteness of the cliffs and project it onto the green of the vegetation in the vales, before drifting further inland towards the industries of Rouen. Driven by the opposite winds, the columns of smoke from the factories will diffuse along the roads and the fields and return to the white cliffs. The seagulls, flying high over the sea, challenge the vertigo of our senses as they take us to the sky – a sky which flips upside down, spinning our heads, with the sea above us; with the sea everywhere.
