This is a film made from a set of four paintings by Angela Allen. The paintings are structured on a grid and are based on the three complementary colour relationships plus a fourth black and white picture. The structure of the film is closely derived from that of the paintings: in a sense the paintings are a score for the film. Ideally the film and the paintings should be seen together as an installation.
