In LOADING LUDWIG, Mattuschka employs mirrors, lenses and glass to dramatize the disfigurement of her face. Mattuschka appears in almost all her films from the 1980s, though in a variety of changing identities and pseudonyms, some of them male – she never seems to be the same individual. - Christa Blümlinger
