Here, I make a painting, using my body, while also performing for the camera. I'm composing on different levels at the same time: on the canvas, by placing the marks across the surface; on my skin, by abrading and layering the paint; in the camera, by imagining its framing and point of view; and in time, through pacing, movement and repetition. Along the line, the body disappears and you lose yourself in leaving a trace.
