Blumenthal is the name of a multi-story housing estate in the Paris banlieu. Many of these estates in the Île-de-France region are interspersed with floral decorations, trees, and natural stone. Particularly, the "cités sensibles" were awarded as "villes fleuries". However, their design illustrates the distance between theoretically planned living conditions and social reality. The film navigates through these new kinds of landscapes, their liveliness and diverse complexity.
