A graphic pattern materializes from the apparent void of the white picture: Horizontal lines dominate a finely woven grid in various shades of gray. Its density and structure are in a state of flux: Stripes shift; lines are overwritten; and pixels condense and form blocks, underlining the grid’s vertical structure. The picture switches between these two spatial coordinates, only once providing them with something like equality, and eventually returns to its starting point. - Claudia Slanar
