The work is small, the screen, the action, the people. Looking at it, I briefly had the feeling that it should be even smaller, stamp-sized: conveying the whole world in a square inch. But later I realized that it is this size that keeps the puzzling effect alive, whereas, all the details would be lost in a smaller version. The small gesture refers to a big, if not the biggest, topic: the passing of time. - Steven ten Thije
