Urban gardening is part of a contemporary lifestyle, and often emblematic of the commercialization of our longing for the sustainable. The film shows self-organized vegetable gardens in the suburbs of Wuhan/China, which are soon to be destroyed by accelerated modernization with its massive residential buildings. Yet, for the moment, the film shows fragments of fields and outlines traces of profound skills in building support structures for plants to better survive.
