This film is about the remembering of childhood sexual abuse at the hands of my grand-mother and aunts from my father's side of the family in the Netherlands, before my parents and I migrated to Australia in 1958. My approach is both visceral and visual, articulated through a materialist aesthetic, inspired by the work of Peter Gidal, Kurt Kren, Marc Adrian and Robert Breer. For me this cinema performs trauma’s mechanism of denial and erasure.
