SECAN CIEL (VERSION LONGUE)

by Jean-Michel BOUHOURS
1979 / 16mm / color / silent / 1S / 9' 00

The materials of SÉCAN CIEL are six sequences of photos taken with a motorized device on the Normandy coast near Etretat and in Paris at the fall of 1976. The difference in these photos is generally very large and their connection on the film tape does not allow a (recognizable) reconstruction of the movements. The gaps are filled with paints which trace intermediate positions, and which simultaneously complicate the object with variable colors and lines on each element. The film is built in two parts: a first part introducing all the sequences and all the elements gradually, a second part which is the complexification and acceleration of the first by greater heterogeneity.
