UN RELATIF HORAIRE

by Yo OTA
1980 / 16mm / color / silent / 1S / 2' 00

This is one of Yo Ota's first films around the theme of time.
The moon begins to pursue us. The distance that separates us from the moon modifies our perception, it prevents us from grasping its movement. In this projection, Yo Ota uses the moon like a symbol of immobility, synthesizing it to the same place until the end.
Since the concept of time exists only in relation to motion, we cannot capture the differences between immobility and movement.
