TODAY is a series of three short films for television, cinemas and festivals as well as art galleries and museums. It seeks to explore and expand the language of the moving image within contemporary visual culture, influenced by music videos, TV drama and advertising. The filmmaker aims to produce contemporary works using the moving image in an "avant-garde" or experimental way, to explore the different formal possibilities and yet maintain the accessibility of her works to a wide audience.
The theme of the films is the father-daughter relationship. One summer night, the grandfather dies accidentally. The event is seen from the point of view of three characters. All episodes are linked by dialogue, aesthetics, sound elements and actors. All in all, these three parts form the story of the members of a family during different periods.
