In this film I have been looking for a human approach to a modern 'inhuman' urbanistic space. Feeling disconnected to the place where I live, I was looking for what could be the connection, the reason, to stay in the city of my choice; Rotterdam. It turned out to be a sort of meditation on my surroundings. I felt like an alien in my own world, an observer, whose task is to spot the particularities by seeing and interpreting them, in order to understand some things about the heart of it all. Not being able to feel 'at home' at a specific space or with specific characters, I did feel 'at home' with the most simple ingredients of the city; accidental meetings, traffic, buildings, light, noises.
