LA MARCHE DES MACHINES

by Eugène DESLAW
1928 / 16mm / b&w / silent / 1S / 9' 00

With this film, Eugène Deslaw attempted to create a symphony to the glory of the modern world and its most faithful representatives: machines and their pistons, cogs, drive mechanisms and so on. An illustration of the modernist quest for the poetics of the machine. Boris Kaufman shot the film.
The film was originally soundtracked by Luigi Russolo.
