This short film is shot in a recently developed suburb of Rotterdam, called «Nieuw Terbregge». The architecture is based on early American 19th century housing areas, with their typical frontporches and lawns. The film's esthetics follows the quasi-nostalgical style and atmosphere that can be found in the themebased retro-architecture that is very popular in the Netherlands at the moment. It can be seen as a metaphor of the cultural and political landscape that nowadays seem to dominate this once so progressive country.
