"In this study, Fischinger drew with charcoal the motifs that his brother Hans painted and to which he added details in grey tempera. The result is a synthesis of two styles, one flexible, soft, and the other brittle. This mixture works very well in sequences using a whole palette of grays that give the illusion of the depth of a field of action with several layers of figures activating each other."
