For The Day, I used some pictures from a well-known Sci-Fi movie by Robert Wise. The main thematic of this movie is the mastering on the human technology (and especially the electric power) by an alien. This aspect, and also the erotic mood of the sequence, has been transferred to the texture of the image. There's a kind of fight inside the image between the layers. Video is understand here as a medium to recycle cinematographic aesthetics into another artistic dimension.
