"While Marilou wears out health exhausts getting laid." A repetitive experimental animated short, freely based on segments of the song by Serge Gainsbourg. Shot in 35mm directly under the animation camera, VARIATIONS SUR MARILOU is a meditative glance at desire, weakness and attraction. It was made during a artist-in-residency program in France and gives particular attention on the movements of the bodies, their presence in space and the traces that their movements leave in the frame.
