LAITUE

LAITUE is a hand-drawn film that describes a short journey of loss and reunification.
Two people are separated by space and time but nevertheless coincide in a series of moments which form a choreography of anticipation and unrest.
In the film the act of drawing mirrors the act of remembering. Faces and bodies are uncovered as their details come to mind. The pencil forgets them or destroys them, allows them to exist in different locations and throws one towards the other.
The paper on which the images are drawn becomes a psychic substance in the film, the white of the page standing in for dark shadow as the harbinger of possibility and change.
