SECRET SECRETION

by Annette FRICK
2004 / b&w / sound / 1S / 13' 57

The film secret secretion is a melancholic goodbye but broken through humor to a medium and a scene in berlin which is definitely gone.
The view out of the window shows the graveyard on the opposite site of the street, where Hegel, Brecht, Heiner Müller, Heartfield, Lin Jaldati and Anna Seghers are buried. Now more than a decade later, very near on the same side of the street the huge building of the german CIA with 3000 offices is fenced in a high iron security
wall.
But there is no reason to give up hope: People will always find places where they can be by herself, himself Him/herSelves.: an empty room, a rotten balcony, nature or other spaces may become the island of their dreams for which one has to fight.
