The four 16 mm Films of Silbersalzbop which includes Joyce in Preussen
are a film manifest and experiment that works intensional with simplest means.
The fundamental basis and one always repeated motive of Joyce in Preussen is an imitation of the painting by Marie Guillemine Benoist "Portrait d'une negresse" from 1800 and a kind of archaic woman which creates associations of a "wild primitive venus", Kali- goddess or Baubou.
