Tristan Bera (he/him) is a writer, researcher, and cultural voyeur whose solo and collaborative practice spans critical and fictional writing, filmmaking, and curating. He studied aesthetics, art history, and political science. His work explores the transfer of knowledge across literature, art criticism, and experimental philosophy, blending sociopolitical reflection, stream of consciousness, pop culture, and character studies.
His films have been presented at international festivals including Rotterdam, London, LEFFEST (Lisbon, 2012 & 2016), Vila do Conde, Lisbon/Estoril, CPH:DOX, and The Flaherty Seminar, as well as in solo and group exhibitions at institutions such as Haus der Kunst (Munich), Turku Art Museum (Finland), Centre Pompidou (Paris), ICA Winnipeg, the Moscow Biennale (2016), HEK (Basel), Onassis Foundation (Athens), Thessaloniki (2023), ICA London (2025), Jan Mot (Brussels), and Gallery Koyanagi (Tokyo).
He lives and works in Paris and Athens.
