Alice Heit is a textile designer, engraver and film maker , born 1981. She has diplomas from the Atelier National d'art Textile, and the Ecole Nationale Supériere des Arts Appliqués et des metiers d'art, Paris. Her work has been exhibited numerous times in Paris and other areas of France including Brittany, where she now lives. Her first short film shot in super 8, « Rouge » was shown at the documentary film festival at Lussas in August 2012. Most of her films are made using super 8, (either colour or black and white) which she develops herself by hand. « Deep Waters » is her first medium length film.
