Nathaniel Dorsky was honored with the Jean Vigo Prize for the Best Director for ELOHIM, OR DIVINE BEINGS, THE ENERGY OF LIGHT AS CREATION at the Punto de Vista International Documentary Film Festival: "This award recognises an entire career, both unique and showing implacable commitment, a career of unshakeable faith in the image which returns the experience of viewing film in a cinema the central role that it deserves. Few directors manage to make you feel that films, their films, are living beings which breathe before your eyes like this director does."
Nathaniel Dorsky will also be honored with the Golden Gate Persistence of Vision Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival: "For more than 50 years, Nathaniel Dorsky has been illuminating minds with experimental, silent short films in which light, nature, and everyday surrounds are carefully captured and combined to prismatic, alchemical effect."
