THINKING DOT

by Keitaro OSHIMA
2011 / 16mm / b&w / sound / 1S / 8' 00

This work is a consideration about the vision expression by "Dot".
Although a "Dot" is a basic elements for constituting an graphical image, it does not necessarily exist as an object which is touched by the hand in actual space.
However, everybody can understand that the "Dot" actually exists. It is extremely conceptual.
I represented the Dot as a basic element as main matter in this movie by fixing various kinds of dots on a cinema film and montage. It seems that Dot is thinking about existence of itself.
