"If, in France, 2015 began with the largest march for freedom of expression, it was followed by many demonstrations of daily resistance against attempts to suppress our fundamental rights. The protest marches intertwine in the streets as well as in our minds, coming back to shout the revolt in a movement of perpetual recommencement. The urban topology is covered with the strata of the passages of thousands of angry individuals peacefully marching on well-trodden paths.
Alain Longuet's generative editing technique allows for the unfolding of a sort of socio-spatial morphology of the protest, where the mass movement seems to stretch as much through space as through time, repeating, overlapping or resuming the action at a random moment that always remains significant."
— Gisèle Rapp-Meichler, 2022.
