I started this film at a time when I was no longer completely convinced of my own existence. I needed testimonies. So I asked seventeen people to sit down, each in turn, in front of my camera, and to imagine themselves for a moment in my skin. Girls or boys, each one speaks, starting with the words: "My name is Hélèna Villovitch". Elodie copies my skills, Hendrik imitates my voice, Silke is inspired by a performance she saw me do one day, Georges and Michel, with their wigs on, disguised themselves as me. Without me providing them with a text at the beginning, each one tells a shortened version of my life, sometimes introducing a few amusing mistakes and his own point of view on my personal choices. A hybrid character is created, which I sometimes find more resembling than myself. I think the film is interesting because it asks questions about identity. That's it.
