The Reals is a charming short reality check with a laptop that shows us what we wish which were possible, what should be possible and what is actually possible.
Euclid’s Gym is a workout from the machine’s point of view. Locked in the strict world of Euclidian geometry it is not clear if the woman is working the machine or the machine is working her.
Have you ever blinked when you had your picture taken; that is a problem with only one picture. Blink and Its Over solves that problem by stopping the picture when you blink. Play the staring contest with this movie; can you beat the film.
Sound and image in Hear to There are on a collision course as there is not enough space for both on the surface on the record. We literally hear until we get there. Hear to There raises questions about the representation and relationship of image to sound.
Lacuna catches the filmmaker/projectionist about to show his film to the model but both are unable to move in time as we all know there is no movement in a film only still pictures. Are they are caught waiting for the action/event/film to begin just as we wait in stillness and silence for the film to start or have we all dropped into the gap, the Lacuna, between the frames unable to climb back out.
Do as I Say not as I Do is a short film that uses up energy to instruct us to save energy; perhaps the medium is not the message.
