“Miller was a historian and filmmaker who wrote and edited Life of Abraham Lincoln Told from Original Photographs (1910) and the monumental, ten-volume The Photographic Study of the Civil War (1911). He made several features including the short art dance film DIANA THE HUNTRESS with producer Charles Allen and dancer-actor Paul Swan, and is best known in cinema for his screenplay for DELIVERANCE (1919) about Helen Keller. He also wrote the book Thomas A. Edison, Benefactor of Mankind (1932).” - Bruce Posner
