Andrea Emonds and Kerstin Gottschalk are friends since more then 15 years. They have been spending a lot of time together, developing their own creative language through performances that mingled with daily life. Out of these fertile grounds "die Trottosˆ emerged. With humour and exaggeration they want to speak a universal language, reaching a general audience. They like to juggle with gender issues, questioning the existing cliches. Inspiration for their filmproject comes from the worldfamous Charlie Chaplin and the underground figure Valeska Gert. Their film Trottadam was developed in collaboration with Karel Doing and produced by Studio één.
