As a visual artist, my work is structured around the notions of détournement and recycling of elements from mass media. I am interested in the images, sounds, and texts that circulate continuously—advertisements, film clips, television archives, fragments found online—and how they shape our perception of reality. By isolating, reassembling, or disrupting them, I seek to reveal what these materials carry within them: underlying narratives, stereotypes, but also areas of ambiguity, oblivion, or resistance.
My projects contain numerous references to literature, art history, and experimental cinema. These fields inform both my method and my formal vocabulary: montages, quotations, reinterpretations, ellipses, and temporal shifts. I draw inspiration from the aesthetics of Dadaist collage as much as from the conceptual strategies and visual research of the cinematic avant-garde. Literature, whether poetic, theoretical, or narrative, acts as a counterpoint: it helps me to create tension between image and language, the visible and the invisible, the spoken and the unspoken.
The appropriation of iconographic, sonic, and textual elements on the canvas allows me to build a raw database that I enrich over time. These collected materials are then sorted, transformed, and reorganized around the ideas of hybridization, mixing, and collage. I proceed in layers, series, and variations, seeking formal correspondences and collisions of meaning. The artistic gesture then consists as much in choosing, cutting, and assembling as in deleting, slowing down, stretching, or making certain elements disappear. All of my pieces develop at the intersection of several media, through experimentation with still images, moving images, and sound. My projects take the form of videos, photographs, soundtracks, performances, and installations. These immersive or fragmented installations invite the viewer to reconstruct their own narrative from the elements presented, to question the reliability of the images, and to become aware of the media saturation that surrounds us. My work thus occupies a liminal space: between documentation and fiction, memory and erasure, continuous flow and suspended moment.
