Frédéric Dallaire is undertaking a postdoctoral research-creation project on collective listening practices (Université du Québec à Montréal). He has taught sound practice and aesthetics, videographic practice, experimental cinema, and the philosophy of cinema (Université de Montréal). He wrote a thesis on the thought and practice of sound mixing in contemporary cinema (Université de Montréal/Université Paris X). He is a member of the research-creation laboratory "Sound Creation: Cinema, Media Arts, Sound Arts" (Université de Montréal). He has created videograms, sound essays, and musical projects.
