Dore O. was born on August 9, 1946 in Mülheim as Dore Oberloskamp. After studying painting, she worked in cinema since 1976, with the collaboration of her husband Werner Nekes. Dore O. is one of the co-founders of "Hamburg Filmmacher Coop" (1968) with Helmut Costard, Klaus Wyborny, Struck, Nekes, etc.
