Alexandra Morales is a Czech-Argentinian filmmaker, curator of experimental cinema and researcher. Her artistic work is rooted in the photochemical film laboratory and its ecology in the broadest sense. She creates films, performances and performative lectures. Her interest in experimental cinema has led her to explore both photochemical practices involving marginal filmic and non-filmic gestures and materialist film theory - subjects on which she also writes.
Since 2013, Alexandra Morales and Georgy Bagdasarov have formed Labodoble, a duo dedicated to filmmaking and experimentation, which also serves as an artistic, curatorial and educational platform.
