Bea HAUT

Nationality: English

Bea Haut is an artist and Experimental film-maker. Working with mainly black and white 16mm film, her works allude to perceptions of inter-related moments, spaces, and actions in between. Interrupting the structural conventions of cinema, she engages with analogue film as a material with agency and uses her films to evidence her relationship with these film processes and her defining environs.
During the 90s she worked with Loophole Cinema and Greg Pope, and recently has been producing Analogue Recurring with David Leister, a 16mm screening event in London. She co-founded Film in Process with Karel Doing, an artist-run service for B&W 16mm processing in the UK. Her films have been shown internationally in festivals such as Media City Film Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Experiments in Cinema, Alchemy and at venues such as the Museum of Moving Images, New York and the ICA, London. https://beahaut.com
