Fragments of Michelangelo Antonioni‘s L‘Avventura are reworked into abstract collages, as textures of clothing, curtains and other surfaces are masked or shaped into pulsating fields and patterns.
These abstract sequences are reintroduced into the film, obliterating and at the same time condensing its narration of disappearance, dissolution and memory. Hallucination and memory images are evoked through a rhythmic montage that develops a hypnotic and seductive pull.
