NORTON'S CUT-UP

In Norton's Cut-Up, the writer and filmmaker Iain Sinclair performs as Norton (a character familiar from Sinclair's Slow Chocolate Autopsy and Alan Moore's League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen) who, on what would've been Brion Gysin's 100th birthday took a newspaper from the present day, and a newspaper from the morning of his birth, cut them up, and reassembled the fragments at random. Perhaps inevitably, the results say more about tomorrow than they do about today.
