A silent sketch/work, and result of structured re-filming of S8 film shot while driving through the Maramures folk preserve in Romania. With hf-designed film gate on my optical printer, I expanded repetitive structuring of my dual-projection piece GHOST DANCE — to loop, stretch, mask, and overlap multiple frames — with a focus on transition and memory, i.e.: passing time, times past, arrested in time, what lies ahead... From this emerged a meditation on presence, travel, and passage.
