TABOU

by Michèle BOKANOWSKI
1983-1984 / 16' 12

"Michèle Bokanowski's music uses an aesthetic of analog and magnetic tape, recalling the existence of electroacoustic music before the hegemonic reign of digital and computer. In Tabou (1983-1984), space and energy are deployed in a subtle and learned development. This piece, used by several choreographers (such as Hideyuki Yano in 1985 and Marceline Lartigue in 1993), will open the doors of the dance world to Michèle Bokanowski. "
