“The Diamon'd is the only ‘piece’ that bears witness to the installation he created at the ARC 2 in 1981. The space occupied in that museum was walled on three sides and entirely glassed in on the fourth (a configuration reminiscent of an eye). It is this layout that forms the matrix of the film: a long forward tracking shot draws us into the space (whose walls were part of the exhibition), toward an immense photographic work. The camera moves forward until the image dissolves into the photographic paper, which is, in principle, meant to reveal a ‘potentiality’ to us and which, in this instance, upends our certainties.” Laurent Danet.
