The technical and filmic process that Goldt uses for SOLSTICE converts the individual color values of a flower (Antirrhinum) into vertical stripes. The fanning out of the color values turns the film into a seemingly motionless concrete image with great meditative power.
SOLSTICE is accompanied by a melancholic composition by Jürgen Grözinger from his album INSIDE THE DREAM.
