BOUQUETS 31-40 continues the series which focuses on places of ecological interest.
Bouquet 31 picks out some of the items that contribute to the poetry of this small farm, Cascina Piola, south of Turin, in Italy.
Bouquets 32 presents a view of a farm, La Fée d’Arlane, in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France, that both produces some of the vegetables for the residents and a large variety of sunflowers.
Bouquet 33 gives another view of La Fée d’Arlane, previously seen in Bouquet 32.
Bouquet 34 gives another version of the farm Cascina Piola, previously seen in Bouquet 31, filmed one year later. One has a glimpse of the rare variety of turtles kept in the pond of the nearby town of Asti.
Bouquet 35 films the Auberge de Bachasson, located near the Source de la Loire, in Ardeche. The farm has a flock of sheep, takes in guests and has a large indoor and outdoor restaurant. The farm makes its own charcuterie, a great speciality of the region, which is served in the restaurant.
Bouquet 36 returns another year later to the farm La Fée d’Arlane, seen previously in Bouquets 31 and 32. One sees the abundant variety of flowers and the people who happen to be there.
Bouquet 37 returns two years later to the farm Auberge de Bachasson, previously seen in Bouquet 35. One sees some of the twenty-thousand cyclists taking part in the important bicycle event, climbing up the steep road below the farm which arrives at the base (1417m) of the Mont Gerbier-de-Jonc (1551m), from which the river Loire derives its source.
Bouquet 38 provides a glimpse of where we live. I chose to film things that I like, the yellow flowers of a cactus that blooms every Spring, a Peruvian cushion embroidered with birds and a rabbit, a present from my sister, my seventy-two old bicycle which was given to Alain when he was eleven years old and the creeper covering the front of our house.
Bouquet 39 was filmed at the Auberge de Bachasson two years after Bouquet 37, at a moment when a large building, conctructed as ecologically as possible by a local group of builders, was being completed in order to provide a specific space for preparing charcuterie delicatessen products as well as a large area available for other activities.
Bouquet 40 was filmed in a place located in the Parc naturel régional of Haut-Languedoc where we see Eric Alexandre in the process of cutting a strip of leather, the main piece for assembling one of his sandals as in sliding it back and forth it allows you to adjust the sandal to be the right size to fit a foot. For a moment one sees the chickens who were eaten soon afterwards by a fox.
