Sosna is a type of pine tree found in Poland with a thin trunk and branches on top. “Las sosnowy ” is a forest of these trees and may have been the location where for generations; my family lived near such environments and perhaps during WWII, found refuge from persecution. For the filmmaker, the images in this film are his contemporary refuge.
